Weather in Watchet

Watchet is a friendly, vibrant harbour town in the administrative district of West Somerset. The town lies on the West Somerset coast, with its fascinating geology and unspoiled beaches, popular for fossil hunting and rock pooling. Exmoor National Park, the Brendon Hills and the Quantock Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty provide a dramatic green backdrop to the town and Watchet is an ideal centre for exploring the many walking routes, taking in coast, countryside and heritage, that run through or near the town or for touring further afield to the many attractions of Somerset and North Devon.

This website is a guide for Watchet’s resident community and for visitors to our town. Here you will find information about the Town Council, local news, a guide to events in the community, and things to do in the town and surrounds.

Watchet has character and uniqueness that are rarely found elsewhere, and it is this heritage, both in its people and places, that Watchet Town Council seeks to protect, support and present to visitors.

We hope you will visit Watchet, tell your friends about us, and come back as often as possible. We will always offer you a warm welcome and share with you the true spirit of our town.
